We’re looking at the weather forecast for Saturday, again a strong chance of rain during flying hours but not nearly as cold and windy as last Saturday. We had a strong chance of rain for the January launch, but it was not as cold, so we risked it and got in lots of flying.

One extra factor to consider is whether we might postpone the launch again, to March 4th, or  cancel  since the regular March launch would be two weeks after that, on the 18th.

Any comments on postponing another week versus canceling?

A decision about the Saturday Feb 25th launch - to GO as scheduled,  or postpone, or cancel - will be made and announced by Friday afternoon.

If the rain will end by 10:00 or so then we could fly after that. Last I hear that was the forecast but considering local weather people, I'm sure it will change at least 5 times in the next 24 hours.  Wink

If we don't fly this weekend I'd just wait until the scheduled March launch.

They just said 80% chance of rain on the 9:00 pm news. I think we need to plan a launch for every weekend. It can't rain all of them.  Wink

Hello BRB Gang,
I would like to see us all show up to fly rockets tomorrow. I believe that it will not rain all day and that we will be able to get some launches in. It want be cold so we need to just wear our rain gear and bring our awnings so we want get wet between showers. If we cancel tomorrow's launch we might as well wait until our next scheduled March launch date. What do you all think ??

The Launch for Saturday the 25th has been cancelled.

Several weather forecast sites were reviewed, sites which shows hour by hour forecasts. All indicate that the greatest chance of rain for Saturday is around noon. One site showing a 70% chance, another 82%, and another showing 100%.

The February launch will not be rescheduled. So, the next launch will be the March 18th launch.
